alegedly "(...)the article is 250 words documenting the year-over-year price increases of breakfast staples like orange juice and eggs. It's a benign article that takes no objective position and makes no comment on the cost-benefit analysis of starving oneself to make ends meet." (source: https://www.thestreet.com/media/the-wall-street-journals-article-about-skipping-breakfast-is-not-going-over-well).
For the original article you'll need to create and account, wich I didn't so I didn't read it
that's original WSJ article: https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/cpi-report-today-january-2023-inflation/card/to-save-money-maybe-you-should-skip-breakfast-fSd6mz0miaAPhUFb2jgy
thank you
authors and magazines knowing that clickbait is shit and still using it?
i was able to read on wsj site. Yes, short comparison of prices - why the title? clickbaits deserve all the criticism and/or ignoring they get. isn't it a bit like being an attention whore? READ ME, LOOK AT THIS SCANDALOUS OPINION
I will not feel bad for falling for the screen above though - as this baiting approach actually exists and is used against not-rich people way too often and it is just awful.
yeh I don't get it either. It's very bad practise and I totally share your opinion, which is why I also reposted it.
also sorry if I sounded attacked, I might have XD I saw the repost. and, back to the article, of course it's all fault of the war in Ukraine, hurricanes and diseases, yeah, right 🙆
nah, no worries I did not get it that way at all, all good :D.
And yeah I mean all the current crisis im the world will surely do their part to the inflation but I also think that there is something else completely wrong in a system where a tiny minority owns way much more than the rest of the people together. :|
